Classic 7 Up 7 Down is the version on the front of every casino lobby. It’s also rarely the version you actually want to play. Between Pragmatic Live, Evolution, and Ezugi there are seven live versions running in the Indian market, each with different round speeds, payout structures, and house-edge profiles. Here’s which one to pick and why.
| Variant | Round speed | Exact-7 payout | Studio |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classic 7 Up 7 Down | 18 sec | 4:1 (edge 16.67%) | All three |
| Premium 7 Up 7 Down | 18 sec | 5:1 (edge 0%) | Pragmatic Live |
| Speed 7 Up 7 Down | 12 sec | 4:1 (edge 16.67%) | Pragmatic Live |
| Lightning Sapt | 22 sec | 4:1 + 5x-50x mult | Evolution (preview) |
| Double Dice | 20 sec | 4:1 + 2x cascade | Ezugi |
| VIP High-Limit 7U7D | 25 sec | 4:1 (₹50K cap) | Evolution |
| RNG 7 Up 7 Down | Instant | 4:1 (edge 16.67%) | Any provider lobby |
The default version on every Indian casino lobby. Single round, two dice, three main bets, 18-second rounds. Exact 7 pays 4:1. House edges: 16.67% on all three main bets (yes, all three — the maths is symmetrical). The version most new players land on by accident. Mathematically the worst Exact-7 payout in the market.
Studio availability: universal. Every site we recommend has Classic 7 Up 7 Down from at least two of the three studios. Minimum bet typically ₹50 (₹100 on Evolution). Maximum ₹50K on standard tables, up to ₹2L in VIP rooms. The only reason to play this version is if the 5:1 Premium table is full or offline.
The flagship variant and the only one worth playing on a strategy basis. Mechanically identical to Classic — same dice, same 18-second rounds, same three main bets. The single difference is that Exact 7 pays 5:1 instead of 4:1. Which sounds small until you do the math: at 4:1, the bet has a 16.67% house edge; at 5:1, the bet is mathematically fair (0% edge). Over ₹1 lakh of Exact-7 turnover, that’s a ₹16,700 difference.
Pragmatic also extends the Sum-of-Two-Dice grid on this table — you can bet on any specific total from 2 to 12. Payouts roughly track probability: 6 or 8 pays 6:1, 5 or 9 pays 8:1, 4 or 10 pays 11:1, all the way to 30:1 for a total of 2 or 12. House edges on those range from 0% (the 5:1 Exact 7) up to about 6% on the extremes.
Available 24/7 on Funexchange. Available 11 AM to 2 AM IST on Playinexch. Not available anywhere else in India. Minimum bet ₹10 — the smallest of any live casino game in the country.
The fastest live game in the Indian market. 12-second rounds — bets close 4 seconds after the previous result is announced, dice shake takes 3 seconds, payout settles in 2. That’s about 300 rounds an hour if the dealer is on pace. The mechanics are identical to Classic; the only thing that changes is the speed.
Crucially: Speed 7 Up 7 Down does not have the 5:1 Exact-7 payout. The Speed table runs at standard 4:1. So you’re getting 50% more rounds per hour but at a 16.67% house edge instead of 0%. The math is brutal — you can lose a session bankroll in 25 minutes at Speed that would last you 75 minutes at Premium.
Worth playing only if you’re disciplined about flat-betting and just want the action. Don’t play Speed if you have any tendency toward loss chasing — the pace makes it dangerously easy.
Evolution’s premium dice product, launching on Indian-facing tables in late 2026. After bets close but before the dice are revealed, the studio randomly assigns 5x to 50x “lightning multipliers” to between 1 and 3 totals (out of 2 to 12). If the dice land on a multiplier total and you bet on it, your win is multiplied. Exact 7 pays 4:1 base; total 2 or 12 pays up to 30:1 base. Add the multipliers and a single lucky hit can pay 1,500x.
House edge after the lightning fee (~1.5% deducted from every bet): about 5% on the main bets — better than Classic but worse than Premium. Variance is enormous; bankroll requirements should be 2 to 3x what you’d run on a standard table.
Currently in soft launch on a small handful of Indian-facing accounts. Reliable availability expected by Diwali 2026.
Ezugi’s twist on 7 Up 7 Down. Two pairs of dice are rolled in sequence. You bet on the result of the first pair (standard 7U7D bets) and a “cascade” multiplier comes from the second pair. If the second pair lands on a doubles, all winning bets from the first round are multiplied by 2.
The cascade probability is 6/36 (16.67%). Net effect: Exact-7 bet’s effective payout becomes (5/6 × 4) + (1/6 × 8) = 4.67:1 average. House edge drops to about 5% — better than the 16.67% standard but worse than the Premium’s 0%. Variance is higher because the cascade hits chunk-style.
Round time 20 seconds. Available on Ezugi tables 6 PM to 2 AM IST. Fun variant; sub-optimal strategy choice when the Premium table is open.
Same mechanics as Classic — 4:1 Exact-7, 18-second rounds — but with three differences. Minimum bet ₹500. Maximum bet ₹50K per zone (so up to ₹1.5L in total per round across the three main zones). Dedicated dealer who plays slightly slower (25 second rounds vs 18) and chats more. Available 24/7 on Mahadev Book; available 6 PM to midnight on a smaller number of tables on the other three sites.
The 4:1 Exact-7 payout makes this a worse strategy choice than the Premium table. The reason to sit here is purely UX — bigger bets, slower pace, more “casino” feel. If you’re running ₹5K+ rounds, the Premium table’s ₹50K cap is the constraint; VIP gives you headroom. Mathematically identical to Classic apart from the bet limits.
The software version. No live dealer; the dice are simulated. The “shuffle” is a random number generator call. Rounds are as fast as you click — you can blast through 600 rounds an hour if you really want to. House edge identical to Classic (16.67% on Exact-7 at 4:1).
Available on every site’s lobby under the “casino” or “live casino” tab. Reliable for learning the rules and practising bankroll discipline without committing to a live table. Most players find the experience clinical and switch to live within a few sessions.
A handful of sites run specialty 7U7D tables that focus on side bets.
You bet only on the Doubles outcome (any matching pair). Pays 11:1. Probability 16.67%. Net edge: 0%. Mathematically equivalent to the 5:1 Exact-7 — same fair odds, higher variance because you’re betting on a single outcome rather than a spread. Available evenings only on Playinexch.
You bet only on whether the total will be even or odd. Pays 1:1. Probability 50%. House edge about 2.8% (the casino takes a small commission). Second-best edge on the platform after the 5:1 / 11:1. Available all hours on Pragmatic and Ezugi.
Pragmatic and Ezugi both run dedicated Hindi-dealer tables labelled “Sapt” instead of “7 Up 7 Down”. Mechanically identical to the corresponding English table. Available 6 PM to 2 AM IST on Pragmatic, 7 PM to 1 AM on Ezugi. About 60% of Indian 7 Up 7 Down volume happens on these tables in the evening. The Sapt label on Pragmatic’s Premium table still pays the full 5:1 — same fair odds, just with a Hindi-speaking dealer and Hindi chat.
If you’re a strategy player: Premium 7 Up 7 Down on Pragmatic Live. The 5:1 Exact-7 is the only fair bet in the Indian live casino market. Flat-bet ₹100 to ₹500, walk at +50%.
If you’re a high-roller running ₹5K+ rounds: VIP High-Limit 7U7D on Mahadev Book. The bet caps matter more than the small edge difference at your stakes. Account manager + 24/7 withdrawal team is worth the 16.67% edge for the convenience.
If you want the Hindi experience: Pragmatic’s Sapt table on Funexchange between 6 PM and 2 AM. Same 5:1 payout, native-Hindi dealer, evening crowd.
If you want pure entertainment and chunky variance: Lightning Sapt (when it goes live) or Double Dice on Ezugi. The cascade and multipliers are sweat-out fun. Don’t grind these for EV.
Variants to skip: Speed (only worth it if you really want the volume — most players burn through bankroll), Classic (16.67% edge with no compensating feature), RNG (clinical, not fun, same edge).
On Funexchange, yes — 24/7. On Playinexch the Premium table is open from about 11 AM to 2 AM IST; outside that window only the 4:1 Classic is available. We don’t recommend playing outside the Premium table’s open hours; the edge difference is too big.
Pragmatic charges a 50% pace premium on Speed. They could either pass that to the player as worse odds or fewer rounds; they chose worse odds. The 4:1 Exact-7 at Speed pace turns over more house edge per hour than the 5:1 at standard pace.
In soft launch on Evolution’s Indian-facing tables since March 2026. Reliable availability across all four recommended sites expected by Diwali 2026 (late October). For now you’ll see it appear and disappear from the lobby.
Most live casino lobbies let you keep 4 tables open simultaneously. Some players run Premium on one window and Lightning on another. Fine for entertainment; bad for strategy plays — you can’t attend to both tables’ bet windows in the 10 seconds you have to act.
On the four sites we recommend (which only carry licensed providers — Pragmatic, Evolution, Ezugi, Microgaming), the RNG is eCOGRA-certified and audited quarterly. Probability of each outcome matches the live-table distribution to within 0.1 percentage points. The 16.67% edge is identical. On unlicensed sites or shady operators — anything is possible. Stick to the four sites on the where to play page.
Funexchange runs Pragmatic’s Premium 7 Up 7 Down 24/7. The only Indian site with the 5:1 Exact-7 always open. ₹10 minimum bet.
